Role based security 101

If there was just one user you can dedicated to the operating of your Digital Signage network then roles based security is probably not sliced bread we think it is.

You’ll probably agree that this is rarely the case. Role based security allows an administrator to provide very fine tuned access to specific parts of the system.

For example, let’s say you want a user to manage content and create schedules but the schedules should go live until it’s approved by you.

You can do just that limiting access to one user to those actions only. You can even provide schedule permissions to part of the screen only by assigning permission to the user for one specific frame. This means their schedule can only go into that one frame you specify and none other.
